Bellisima Greener Living in 2010

Natural worldOn September 7th, 2009 (Labor Day) and throughout the remainder of 2009, I challenged myself with the task of focusing on one daily assignment–an action or mental exercise that would contribute to my own greener lifestyle AND to the healing of our planet. I found that trying to focus on a daily challenge and blog about it became too big of a goal to meet. So, instead of a daily challenge, I began focusing once a week on some aspect of green living. Most weeks, I met my goal and posted challenges and awarenesses for you and me to consider through my “Footprint Friday” posts.

In 2010, I intend to continue Footprint Fridays, focusing on greener living each week. My intention is to continue what I started by sharing new information and new challenges as I discover them so that no matter where we are in our current actions, we can look at the prospect of more and bigger changes in 2010.

Through my own experience these past few months, I’ve learned it is not really difficult to make lasting changes. I’ve also begun to understand at a deeper level that a single individual’s efforts can make a difference. I don’t have to drastically overhaul mine or my family’s lifestyle to make a difference. Small changes made at our own pace do help, especially when lots of others join in. So, of course, my ongoing hope is that more of you will continue to join me in making these changes, which increases the number of people contributing to a greener world!

At the core of this section of my blog is my deep desire to continue to assist in making Mother Earth, her communities, my life, my family’s life and the lives of others more green, healthy, and BELLISIMA! So follow the postings listed under “Bellisima Green Challenge” to see what’s happening and how you can get involved each week…

Throughout 2010, make each day, each week and each month the most beautiful shade of green imaginable!

Ciao!
